Website concept, design, development & updates
I began work on the SCG web site in 1998 with simply a
pile of materials needing integration into a site that had
yet to be created. After several creative meetings to
determine how the site would best be structured, several
design concepts were created. All of the designs were
based on a need to have the site be available to the widest
possible audience.
As a public utility company, the site needed to be
designed without the necessity for additional "plug-ins," so
that anyone with a computer and a connection to the
Internet would have full access.
futureHistory was also hired for site maintenance and
provided a 48 hour turn around time on all updates for the first four years of the site. Since then, maintenance has been taken in-house, but the site still remains well used and largely unchanged almost a decade later.
